Join a meaningful and fascinating hands-on activity for the whole family and experience the thrill of discovery!
At Emek Tzurim National Park, you’ll take part in real archaeological sifting from the excavations of the City of David and ancient Jerusalem.
Who knows what treasures you’ll uncover? Visitors have already found rare coins, ancient jewelry, amulets, and more incredible artifacts – maybe you’ll be the next to make a discovery!
After a short introduction by our guide at the teaching wall, you’ll begin your own sifting experience – just like real archaeologists.
Good to Know:
- Admission is required from age 5 and up.
- Accompanying adults must also purchase a ticket.
- We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirt

Essential Information
For those arriving by private vehicle:
The drive passes through mixed neighborhoods. There is plenty of free parking at the entrance to the site.
For navigation using Waze – search for “גן לאומי עמק צורים” (“Tzurim Valley National Park”).
Please note: navigate to“גן לאומי עמק צורים” and not just “עמק צורים”.
For navigation using Google Maps:
Arrive at Hadassah Lamfel Street and walk down to the national park.
Reaching Hadassah Lamfel Street does not require driving through mixed neighborhoods.
You should park along the side of the road and go down the stairs located on the right side. There are signs directing visitors to”עמק צוקים” .
Please note: Going through Hadassah Lamfel Street site involves going down a long staircase path and is not stroller accessible.

Directions:
Walk back in the direction you came from. On the left side you will find the entrance to the national park and the stairs leading down to the site. - Bus 84

Continue up the street, turn right onto Lamfel Street. At the beginning of the street, on the right side, you will find the entrance to the national park and the stairs leading down to the site.

Drop-off stop: Har HaTzofim Terminal / Martin Buber
Directions:
Cross the road and turn right (the desert lookout will be on your left). At the intersection of Martin Buber and Yitzhak HaNadiv Streets, turn right at the second crosswalk — the farther one. Walk down Yitzhak HaNadiv Street and turn left onto Hadassah Lamfel Street. At the beginning of the street, on the right side, you will find the entrance to the national park and the stairs leading down to the site.

Your visit begins with a guided introduction by one of our professional instructors, who will walk you through the sifting process and explain the fascinating story behind the archaeological soil – brought directly from the excavations in ancient Jerusalem.
Then, together with your guide, you’ll take part in the hands-on sifting activity and uncover real archaeological finds from thousands of years ago: pottery fragments, arrowheads, coins, and more!
