Located at the entrance to the City of David National Park, just a short walk from the Western Wall, Palace Cafe is a kosher dairy restaurant and café with a unique Jerusalem atmosphere and beautiful views of the Old City walls.

The restaurant is accessible, air-conditioned, and open year-round. Service is self-service, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are available for groups of 15 guests or more, with a choice of catering and event menus.

Group Meals and Events near the Western Wall

Palace Cafe offers group hospitality and private events by advance arrangement, making it ideal for Bar and Bat Mitzvah meals near the Western Wall, family celebrations, company events, organized groups, and tourism groups.

In summer, the place can host 45-130 guests. In winter, it can accommodate up to 80 guests indoors, in a warm and pleasant setting overlooking the Old City walls and the Temple Mount, subject to weather conditions. Guests can choose from a selection of catering and event menus, with optional add-ons such as balloon and floral design, magnet photography, and an alcohol bar.

Line 38- The Jewish Quarter (takes a circular route that goes by the Western Wall)

Line 2- From Kikar Tzahal/ Yitzchak Kariv Street (Superbus company bus that takes a circular route)

Cabs

Cabs are allowed entry through the Jaffa Gate at any time.

Private vehicles

Please note that it is difficult to find parking near the Western Wall and the City of David. We recommend parking in nearby parking lots and walking to the site.

  1. The Karta and Mamilla parking lots (paid parking): Navigate with Waze. Walking distance to the City of David is approximately 20 minutes. A cab is recommended.
  2. Mount Zion/ David’s Tomb parking lot (paid parking): Navigate with Waze. Walking distance to the City of David is approximately 9 minutes. Please note that parking spots are extremely limited.

On Foot

Coming from the Western Wall, turn left at the Dung Gate and then turn right. It is a 2-minute walk to the City of David. Navigate using Google Maps.
