Discovery of a seal, the first of its kind, from the time of the Second Temple
A seal, the first of its kind in the world, has been discovered in the foundations of the Western Wall, north of the City of David. The impressive seal, which was worn as a ring, bears a bird, there is a branch next to it, that probably depicts the fragrant persimmon plant from which the incense was produced for the temple.
