This This Chol Hamoed Sukkot, enjoy a variety of activities for children and the whole family in Jerusalem: hands-on workshops, captivating demonstrations, and a visit to the longest suspension bridge in Israel.
For the best experience, we recommend arriving in the morning to make the most of all the activities.

Join us for a variety of fun and hands-on workshops, including: an agricultural water activity, pita baking on a traditional saj, nature-based crafts, Palm Leaf Weaving and ancient writing.
Demonstrations of Ancient Crafts
Watch fascinating live demonstrations of ancient crafts using natural materials: traditional Olive Oil Making, blacksmithing and pottery making.

Parking
There is no parking available in the area. Paid parking is available at nearby parking lots. From there you may walk to the Jerusalem Cinematheque, where signs will direct you to the site.

Activities take place on Wednesday and Thursday, October 8–9, and on Sunday, October 12.
The activities are held between 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

- Water Trail – Agricultural Water Activity: Learn about the importance of water in the Land of Israel and Jerusalem, the different irrigation methods, and the secrets of the ancient aqueducts that brought water to the city. Afterwards, enjoy a hands-on experience as we practice transporting and irrigating water just like in ancient times. A refreshing and fun activity!
- Between Saj and Za’atar – Pita Baking – Make your own handmade pita on a traditional saj, served with fresh za’atar dip.
- Nature Crafts – Decorate smooth river stones. Paint birds and flowers using leaf prints.
- Palm Leaf Weaving – Learn how to weave a camel from palm leaves saved from the Four Species – a symbolic reminder of the journey through the desert.
- A Letter from the Past – Ancient Script – Discover ancient writing and the clay seal impressions (bullae) found in the City of David from the First Temple period. Make your own personal clay bulla, inscribed with your name in ancient script.

- Between the Hammer and Anvil – The Art of Blacksmithing – Observe the forging of an iron nail using traditional blacksmith techniques.

- Camel and donkey rides are available throughout the activity hours.
- Please note: rides depend on the animals’ well-being, and unexpected changes or breaks may occur based on their health and behavior.
- The ride takes place along a designated trail and lasts about 3 minutes.
- Minimum age: 2 years old (children ages 2–5 must be accompanied by a paying adult).
- Tickets can be purchased in advance on the website or at the reception desk.
