Gey Ben Hinnom – The Farm In Jerusalem

Gey Ben Hinnom, the place that was famous in the past thanks to the extraordinary burial caves found in it’s territory, is getting a new life, blooming and greener than ever.

The farm in the heart of Jerusalem takes the concept of “urban nature” to the next level.

Right in the heart of the city, near the First Station, and below the cinematheque, there is a flight of stairs, from which the hidden farm will be revealed to your eyes. In its center flows an impressive waterfall and, among the various crops, you can learn about the ancient agricultural crafts, through which the inhabitants of Jerusalem existed thousands of years ago. From picking olives, through picking sunflowers to stomping grapes – the farm brings the remnants of ancient agriculture to the people of the 21st century every day.

Throughout the year, the farm works to preserve the ancient agricultural crafts according to the seasons of nature, just like in ancient times. There are activities such as picking, harvesting, pressing grapes, agricultural construction and honey extraction. You can also try out the activities, depending on the agricultural season.
