A first for Jerusalem: A collection of decorated ivories were unearthed
The First Temple luxury items were apparently inlaid in a bed placed in a palatial structure. The discovery, which was unearthed in the City of David in excavations carried out by the Israel Antiquities Authority and Tel Aviv University, sheds new light on the power and importance of Jerusalem during the Judahite Kingdom.
