During an archeological excavation in the City of David in a national park surrounding the walls of Jerusalem, a rare gold bell with a small loop at its end was discovered. The bell was apparently sewn on a garment worn by a loud man. Ma’aleh in Jerusalem at the end of the Second Temple period, according to the excavation directors on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, Archaeologists Eli Shukron and Prof. Roni Reich of the University of Haifa.
